On Monday I’ll be performing in a truly fabulous industry showcase. Marketed to top tier industry and self-produced by the masterclass actors of Actors Comedy Studio, this thing is going to be a tight hour of fierce and funny people doing what we do best. I’m so proud. I mean just look at this cast! *swoon*
Katie-Do season 2 is still going strong! And in case you haven’t heard, so is this beautiful baby girl I’m growing in my belly. And the weird thing? On Wednesday I screened an episode of Katie-Do at the Funny Women Festival, an amazing festival put on by the sketch team Cake Batter to celebrate strong, hilarious women. The screening was a blast. It was so cool to hear people laughing (and screaming) in real time as they watched!
My category, video shorts, is a competition category and I am so pleased to announce that I’ve been advanced to the final round! The final screening and voting takes place 7-8pm this Saturday December 5th at The Del Close Theater in Hollywood. You can purchase tickets here. The final round is part audience vote, part judging panel so I’d love to see some friendly faces! Hope you can make it!
Some of you may know that I was fired from an acting gig when the theater managers found out I was pregnant. I’m very grateful to have been given a platform to tell my story. I visited my hometown of Portland, MI and created this small town America morning show parody. Check it out and see my horrified family as I ambush them into starring in my crazy creation!
I’m so excited to announce that I just booked and shot an episode of the new ABC half-hour comedy Uncle Buck! Based on the John Candy movie, it stars Mike Epps and looks like it’s gonna be a lot of fun. I had a great time shooting! I can’t give out details about my role yet but make sure to subscribe to my mailing list so I can tell you when it airs in early 2016.
