What’s new and singing gigs!

Just a quick update! See below for places to hear me sing this week!

I just started a fantastic new class based on Stephen Book’s improvisation techniques. I’m a week in and loving it!

I also just wrapped as the lead in “The Cellar”, a dark short film, where I play a kidnapped woman locked in a basement, fighting to escape or, at the very least stay alive. It was an intense shoot and I’m so excited to see how it turns out!

On a lighter note, I have a couple singing gigs coming up this week and would love to see you at one or both of them. On Thursday, come see me sing backup with The Gene Butler Band. It’s a bluesy, country good time so climb into your boots and join us!

 When: Sept 27th at 9pm

Where: The Trip: 2101 Lincoln Blvd, Santa Monica

How much? No cover, no min!

Of Friday, I’m singing solo for The Music Room. I’ll be singing 4 songs with a fantastic jazz trio. Last time I did this gig, it was a ton of fun! So if you fancy a fancy night out, I’ll see you then!

Singing with the Gene Butler Band!

This week, there are TWO chances to come see me singing with The Gene Butler Band! Info below. Hope to see you there!

Gig #1: Thursday July 26th 8:45pm

The Trip (2101 Lincoln Blvd. Santa Monica 90405)

This is one of our favorite places to play because it’s a local bar (great divvy feel) with great drinks at low prices, no cover charge and plenty of free parking on the streets. To get in without a cover charge you simple tell the doorman that you’re there to see the Gene Butler Band.

Gig #2: Sunday July 29th at 9:15.
The Falls Lounge downtown (626 South Spring Street, Los Angeles 90014)

This will be an electric/acoustic night and we’ll be playing many of our songs that we don’t usually get to play. It’s a cool place, great atmosphere and no cover!

Stand-up shows!

Curious how the stand-up thing is going? Come on out and see me this week! Two opportunities!

8pm Monday 7/16/12 THE COMEDY STORE Main room!  $5 cover if you give my name

8pm Tuesday 7/17/12 ROCKPAPER (7509 Sunset Blvd)  No cover, a very intimate venue

Hope to see you there!

“Troubadour” coming soon!

Just spent the entire weekend on set shooting a new comedic web series, “Troubadour”. The cast and crew are terrific and what I’ve seen of the dailies look great! I have another 2-3 days over the next couple weeks and we should have episodes 1-3 in the bag. I can’t wait to see the final product!
